Local Errand Girl

    We created “Local Errand Girl” with two express purposes in mind: 

1. To provide families and individuals with extra time.  With work, sports, music lessons, dance and play rehearsals, homework and doctor’s appointments, family and individual time is at a premium. 
2. To provide an environmentally friendly alternative to day-to-day shopping.

By letting us work for you, we provide you and your family with the freshiest dairy and produce from Southwest Riverside County.   All dairy products are hormone free, milk is purchased from a local dairy farm, and the produce is purchased from a local Farmer’s Market every Wednesday.  With a Wednesday night delivery, your dairy and produce will be the freshiest available.  Through supporting local vendors, we help lessen the dependence on the big food chains and the emissions in the air when the big chains ship their produce.  Additionally, the produce is grown on local farms and not in China, Chile or Argentina, thus being more healthy and tasty!

Finally, fewer emissions get released into the air with only one car going store to store versus a number of them.  Currently, our delivery vehicle gets 25 miles per gallon, but if we were shopping for just three people, our fuel efficiency increases to 75 miles per gallon!  Our objective, though, is to purchase a “green” vehicle, thus continuing the decrease of fuel emissions into the air while providing you and your family with the healthiest produce and dairy products around. 

The Business

    Local Errand Girl was created with the desire to provide individuals and families with extra time and the freshest produce available while helping the environment.  In this vein, we pledge to dedicate 10% of monthly profits to TreePeople.org, an organization that plants trees in the Southern California area.  You as customers get fresh produce and dairy, we get business, and the Earth gets trees.  In the end, we all win.
